Important: Export licensing will be implemented for some steel products.

According to relevant information released by China Customs,starting January 1, 2026, export licensing will be implemented for certain steel products.

In accordance with the Foreign Trade Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Regulations on the Administration of Import and Export of Goods, and the Measures for the Administration of Export Licenses, the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs have decided to adjust the Catalogue of Goods Subject to Export License Management (2025) (hereinafter referred to as the Catalogue). The relevant matters are announced as follows:

I. Certain steel products (see attachment for details) are included in the Catalogue.

II. Foreign trade operators exporting the above-mentioned goods should apply for export licenses based on the export contract and a product quality inspection certificate issued by the manufacturer. The Ministry of Commerce and the provincial-level local commerce departments (provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, cities with independent planning status, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps) and some sub-provincial city commerce departments (Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin, Nanjing, Wuhan, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Xi’an) entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce will issue export licenses according to their respective responsibilities. Export licenses applied for by enterprises under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council in Beijing will be issued by the License Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce; export licenses applied for by other enterprises will be issued by the provincial-level local commerce department or the commerce department of the sub-provincial city where they are located. Other matters not covered herein shall be handled in accordance with Announcement No. 65 of 2024 issued by the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs.

III. This announcement shall take effect on January 1, 2026.

The newly released policy primarily affects steel flanges and pipe fittings. Most of YIFA VALVE products are unaffected, so customers can purchase with confidence. However, as a precaution, we recommend that customers consult their suppliers before purchasing. We hope this information is helpful.
